Train No. 12578 Mysuru – Darbhanga Bagmati Express Which Was Moving At About 75 Kmph Got Collised With A Stationary Goods Train On The Outskirts Of Chennai On Friday At About 08:30 Pm. Due To This Accident 20 Passengers Got Injured And 12 Coaches Of This Train Was Derailed Due To This Accident.
According To Southern Railway Bagmati Express Entered In Loop Line – The Track Which Branches Out From The Main Route And Merge With Main Line After A Short Distance Such As Stations – During This Movement The Trains Collides From Back On A Stationed Goods Train At Kavaraipettai Stattion Which Is About 46 Kilometers From Chennai.
As Per Railway Statement The Train Passed Ponneri Station At 8:27 Pm And After That In The Gree Signal The Train Entered Into Loop Line Instead Of Main Line And The Accident Tooks Place.
The Crew Are Safe And The Next Parcel Van Was Caught With Fire Control Over Fire Was Done By The Fire Brigade And No Any Casualties Reported So Far.
During This Accident, 20 Passengers were injured And 12 Coaches Of The Express Train Was Derailed. All The Passengers Were Evacuated From The Train.
